Where?

Greek civilization is symbolized by the olive tree, Roman civilization by the grapevine, and African civilization by the fig tree.

The fig tree loves the sun and needs protection from the wind, so it thrives in Tunisia on the NE-SW facing hills of Djebba.

In Djebba, this fruit is the symbol of the region, and it has been awarded an AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) status.

Who?

The producers in the village of Djebba each have small plots rarely exceeding 1 hectare where they cultivate their fig trees.

They work in the same way, using a method passed down from mother to daughter.

Nesrine and Monia coordinate everyone's efforts and ensure top quality.
