Wild Cassia fistula stick is the dried fruit of the Indian laburnum (or purging cassia), also known as the golden shower tree, a woody pod containing a sweet black pulp, used primarily for its strong laxative and depurative properties in Ayurvedic medicine.

Appearance: Long, hard, black pod containing seeds separated by a sticky black pulp.

Taste: Mild, sweet, with caramelized or licorice notes.

How to consume it:

Open the pod: Break the woody pod (using a nutcracker, for example) to access the pulp.

Consume the pulp: Take a small amount of black pulp and let it melt on the tongue.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
