Halfa is a natural plant fiber with unique characteristics. This perennial herbaceous plant is found mainly on the central highlands of Tunisia in the governorates of Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa and Kairouan. Halfa fiber, due to its fine, short and fairly rigid nature, constitutes one of the rare raw materials used to manufacture rigid objects and carpets.

Thanks to the fineness of its fibers and its thin walls, Alfa makes it possible to obtain a higher number of fibers per gram than for short fibers of other origins.
