Story of Beb Al Djazira: Beb Al Djazira, facing Cap Bon, was once a key gateway to Tunis, providing passage for travelers heading to Kairouan. This gate opened onto Dyers' Street before it disappeared completely and was replaced by Bab Alioua on the second fortified wall, which became Tunis's main line of defense.

Story of Beb Souika: The wooden bookmark included in this notebook depicts the Beb Souika Gate, established in honor of Sidi Mehrez. This gate, very important at the time, originally commanded access to the roads to Bizerte, Béja, and Kef, a role later assigned to Bab Saâdoun.
